Why Santa is taking advantage of Layaway this year

Mrs. Santa is starting her handmade holiday gifts today (I'll share them after the holidays), but since there are some things I just have to purchase at either Wal-mart, K-mart or Toys R Us this season (mainly LEGOS), I'm totally taking advantage of the layaway programs they're rolling out for quite a few reasons:

1. I can get all of my shopping done NOW:

  a. I don't have to shop in my bulky winter coat/boots & get all sweaty & hot & have a panic attack.
  b. I don't have to buy under pressure.
  c. I can  enjoy the actual holiday season without being stressed out about gifts.

2. I only have to hide the gifts for 9 days (pick up is on 12/16)!!

   a. The kids will barely have time to peek
   b. I'm not really that organized & always forget where I hid gifts.
   c. We have NO STORAGE in this house.

3. I don't have to buy on credit cards or take money out of our savings.
4. I can budget properly
5. Why not?

  1. I would really love to do that if I could. But I don't have kids. I usualy shop year round for Xmas and don't use the credit card.

  2. You're being very smart. I hate going to stores any time of year, so I do a lot of shopping online for gifts. I've found that the trunks of my old cars make great places to hide them before the holidays come.
